Well, I suppose every dog has its day. Went down the beach about lunchtime yesterday with the wife to grill some burgers and maybe toss a bait or two. Knowing the storm was coming...and kinda wanting to just be on the beach during a storm.
Yep-this is married fishing.
And yep-this one lone redfish had an interest for some cut hardhead. That holographic shiny hardhead skin musta clinched the knot, cause he hit it like a rocket! Gotta love the hardhead baits!
And that was dinner.
But not for everyone.
And as we left, the storm hit. Musta dumped 4 inches of rain in an hour down there!
Ya'll take care. We'll see what this latest cold front and rain storm does with the fishing. Tight lines. _________________ Protect Padre at all costs for future generations to use and enjoy and never forget our freedoms aren't free.

Thanks for the report and, as always, the great pictures.
I had no idea that hardheads could be used for cut bait..... |

Yes, we caught trout on cut hardhead in Yarborough when we ran out of finger mullet on a long wade. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| I always appreciate your posts/pics towboat. I think I saw you this afternoon hitting the beach when I was coming off it. Wind and current really picked up at around 11 this morning. |
