Got a new to me Dodge diesel 2500 4x4 and wanted to take the family in it to the pass this weekend. Never had a diesel back there and was wondering at the same time if anyone's been back there in a while and if them fish are biting. Any updates on the road condition and fishing would greatly help my decision. Thanks yall.

Last I heard the entrance was still really soft although that has been a few weeks.

You'll be fine. Just pop it in 4 low if you're worried about it.
Even when people say it's "unpassable", you'll be fine if you get a running start and don't let off. Just watch out for the big bump at the top.

I'm a firm believer that it's 75% driver and 25% truck

Have a person scout the other side before you gun it up there.
