This may be a long shot but I just recently moved to Beaumont a few months ago and was wondering if anyone here had any information or experience fishing the southeast texas area. I've been going to Port Arthur and have tried fishing Sabine Lake but thats about it. Also I have no boat or kayak so I will be fishing on the bank. Any information would be great! Thanks!

near Port Aurthur off highway 87 look for Shell lake, Johnson lake, and kieth lake. They all funnel into 1 narrow passage way in to the intercoastal canal at highway 87. The fishing here is amazing. October - January the flounder are HOT. as well as ever other fish. Good luck. If u need more specifics let me know

BTW Claiborne park in Vidor has some very big bass (ans several small ones)ready to be caught and soft shells the size of a table. No joke.
