Why do people think it is OK do fish from the boat ramp? Had several people doing it this evening. Makes it very hard to dock a boat, or make a quick stop. Tonight someone's line got caught on my boat because there were six people fishing from the ramp with about three poles each. Very hard to maneuver and one of the guys lost his pole. A boat ramp is not a fishing pier! Please pass the word. If you lose a rod it is not the guy in the boats fault. Find somewhere else to fish. That is all.

Strongly agree. Fishing line is a big enemy of boaters. Not a boater around that intentionally gets into that stuff.

Who administers or polices the boat ramp area? If I recall correctly, there is a CC police station nearby, possibly they can at least refer someone to the right authority. I agree with the poster expressing concerns with fishing line relative to boats, especially those with outboards.
