| I've fished for the last 7-8 years with a lower end reel on my 8 wt - OK, cheap. After taking forever to land an oversized red a couple of weeks ago, I upgraded to a large arbor, anodized aluminum reel that is really impressive in terms of construction and weight. It is the TFO BVK III. Holds about 200 yards of backing and is incredibly light weight. Seems like a lot of bang for the buck in a mid-range reel ($260 from Bass Pro). I'm sure there are some users on this board - your thoughts? |
