I knew the wind would be blowing pretty good, but not catching anything with no winds and crystal clear water last week, I figured what the heck. Got to the surf and it was rougher than I expected, although very fishable. Put out 2 rods, cut bait and shrimps/fishbites. Didn't see any bait in the water. All I got was 12 or so hardheads. On my way home I did see one lower slot drum caught.
A cool thing was that 2 Kemps came ashore this.morning SBH. One was about a mile south of the bowl. I don't know where the other one was found. |

| With the big waves and the strong winds coming on shore I was limited to fishing in the first gut. Could not cast my bait far enough to get it out beyond this second bar. |

Surf fishing definitely calls into use all of your fishing skills (most of the time anyway). _________________ You have 2 choices in life: The right one or the easy one. |
