Alright for several reasons. Got my boat out of the shop and had no problems today. Also, the couple days of north winds pushed clean water into my 2 minute hh. Was able to fish lures today without adding all kinds of bells, whistles and stink to them.
Started out throwing a black trout killer and boated 2 trout and lost 3 others. I felt like a rookie. Bite slowed so I went with my old reliable tequila and finished off my limit and had 2 others to boot. Also caught numerous skipjack, 2 of which I saved for bait for the surf tomorrow.Clear skies, clean water and a limit of trout and didn't have to spend $5 for gas. Now all that needs to happen is for the team I play on to win its softball game tonight to cap off a great day. |

I was beginning to wonder if there was any clear water anywhere. TFTR. I'm glad to see you found them, though you always do! _________________ HighTide

Hope your skipjack produces in the surf tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing your results as I want to hit it on Friday. Both days look good with lower winds and clean water....maybe the Florida guys(pompous ones) will make an appearance. _________________ Mike |

| Glad to hear you were successful. Crossing JFK today I noticed the water looking much better than the last couple of weeks. Surf looked great today and also should be clear the next couple of days and at or near flat. We are going to try SBH tomorrow and Friday with TW lures and hopefully will snag a few trout or whatever might be hungry. |

Felt like a rookie?
Last weekend- First fish, I decided to swing a ~22in. trout into a flush deck boat instead of getting a net. Just went downhill after that. _________________ "Deep inside, you know the fish isn't the only one that's hooked" |
