I've heard rumor that the Blue Angels will do their show over the water this year. I'm guessing if that's the case, then the best seats would be on the NAS seawall. Does anybody else know if this is true? We always went to Turtle Cove Park and watched the show as it was always right in our faces. But, if it's out over the water, then obviously that would NOT be the best place. Just curious if anybody has the skinny on this. Thanks.

| Yeah...always enjoyed them coming in on the first day for practice. What a kick in the pants that ride must be. I have a good friend from High School who did 4 years with the Air Force Thunderbirds. He got a few rides in the F-16. I can only imagine what a thrill it must have been. When my wife and I went to Vegas on vacation, he took us on base and to the Thunderbirds hangar. That place was spotless. I think he said the new team members sweep and mop it three times a day or something like that. Sure was neat being so close to those jets. I also remember seeing the Blue Angels when they were flying A-4 Skyhawks, and F-4 Phantoms...good memories. |

| Yes, it's true. This years show is supposed to be over the water. The main parking will go around the Catalina club and there will be static displays along the seawall of other aircraft. I think gates open around 8 and the show starts about 10 with the Golden Knights, the show wraps up at 1600 with the Blue Angels being the last to perform. SO I think fat Albert and the team should be launching around 145 pm . I do not have the Official Timeline for launch times, but the start n finish times are what we were given at the base. ITs really hard to work with them flying over you every few minutes,( But its fun to watch them) |

| Thanks FF01...so, do you know if they will be flying out over CC bay or the Laguna? I'm just trying to think about where we would like to be. Are they doing it this way due to safety concerns of the Turtle Cover neighborhood? It sure was nice when the demonstrations came directly over that subdivision. |

They will be flying on the north seawall at NAS that where they were setting everything up today. Right across the street from where I work. We get a perfect view. The base will have a show just for the base tomorrow and then open to the public on Sat. and Sun. There is also a Raptor. I saw a b25-Mitchell come in also. I have to say Naval aviators are the best of the best. They fly their best in foul weather. The louder the better. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

or Arrdvarks, Raptors and some stuff we haven't seen..
both outfits have their place.
then Army comes along to secure everything.
