Today was one of the nicest days I've seen in a long time. The wind was near dead, the tide was gently rolling in the channel, and the water was clean and green. Bait was everywhere and present in all sizes. The edges were loaded with large mullet lazing around, and schools of bait were moving up and down the channel in mass. I waded from about 8 to noon, fishing the usual spots on the channel with electric chicken Mirrolure Provokers. The trout bite was slow but steady, mostly all fish over 15". I had to let 3 nice ones go after I hit my limit. The flounder proved to be my arch nemesis today. The edge of the dropoff was loaded with them, good size fish probably mostly over 16". However, everyone that hit was getting on the tail and I failed to hook any of them. At first it was infuriating then it became comical as I watched at least 6 big flounder simply let go and swim away less than 10 feet from me. I guess that's just how it goes some times....
Might be my last time out for at least a week, everyone else go catch my fish!!!!

What are you throwing for the flounder ? Bc I've never caught one on a Mirrolure, and if one did hit a Mirrolure there would be no way you'd lose that sucker !!! TFTR and nice stringer !!! _________________ Come out & gig some flounder with Straight to The Point Guide Service!! http://floundergiggin.com/ for more info
