Aside from chickens and turkles fishing was brutal today. Fished all my deep spots low and slow with plastics and ended with only 2 flounder and one drum. Hits spots from the JFK to Pureoil. I'm going to do it again in the morning. The water clarity is awesome. IMS

talk to three neighbors today and they had the same results. 1 trout and 3 drum between three different fisherman Thinking tomorrow should have fish turned on. I won't be out though as I am one of the 67% that this year's flu shot did not work on. Type "A" hit me.

Fished this afternoon from 4 till dusk around Pita and didn't get a single bump.
But, the water is crystal clear.
Good luck tomorrow.

I know several people who limited to 25" buuuut it wasnt in the laguna haha. Other than that it was a lot of sheeps and drum bottom fishing.

Yes one was 16 and one was 18. The drum was 20. Slim pickins . The water is very cold saw quite a few stunned mullet on top of the water. The birds were having a hay day. I would like to see a 10 deg water warm up.

The gulls are also having a hay day around Pita feasting on breasted out ducks . I know which blind those illegal carcasses are coming from.

The gulls and pelicans are having a feast in the canals too, but not on breasted out ducks. LOTS of cold-stunned dead fish. Saw dozens and dozens of dead mullet and irish pompano. Many more dazed mullet who on their way out of this world. Talk about easy picking for a giant trout.

Also saw a few of these floating in the canals, along with some mangroves.

Water was VERY cold, even though yesterday was a mild day. The flats were much warmer, and most of the live mullet were there warming up.

Oh and I'm with Stan, VERY slow for me yesterday afternoon from 3 til sundown. One dink trout and undersized flounder.

I saw the GW's out in their airboat this morning checking duck hunters. Hopefully they caught those guys.
