You were definitely right about the pompano Tyler. Here is one my brother caught Saturday evening south of bob hall. It measured in at 19" caught on shrimp and fishbites. It was an awesome evening out there on Saturday with good conditions and no fresh sargassum in the water to deal with.

What a difference a day makes.
The wind was howling out of the SE, and the current was ripping north at lunch today. Still some weed north of the bowl, but the water was pretty clear for the most part. Birds were mainly on the beach, and I saw just hints of bait in the wade gut. Only a few hardy souls fishin', and I only saw a whiting or two on the catchin' end.
Now, the front rolls in tomorrow and the wind howls (or is projected to!) out of the north! A guy could get whiplash out there, these days. |
