A friend of mine put this video together of the 2014 Nationals Distance Casting Tournament held in Washington, DC a couple weeks ago:

If you'd like to learn more about distance casting, feel free to drop me a line.

Regards,
Will Nash

Congrats on the win! That's some serious distance there!

Thank you! It was a lot of fun hanging out with those guys.

We've got another tournament this weekend in Kingsville with so many prizes on the table that everyone is guaranteed to win something! Come on out!

Keeper I'd like to go check it out. Hell it's right in my back yard. How much of a fool would a friend and myself look like showing up with our sealines and 10 ft tsunamis?! 🎣

I guarantee you will not feel like a fool at all! We have a great group of folks that like to cast, lie about fishing, and have a good time. We have a bunch of great prizes from our sponsors this year so there's a good chance you may get to upgrade your equipment on the cheap!

We'll be setting up in Kleberg Park near the softball fields at 9 AM Saturday morning. Hope to see you there!

There's a guy named Jeff that fishes Braunig Lake quite a bit that might be able to help you out. I hear they call him the "Mad Bomber" for the long casts he makes with fishing tackle.

Echo; do come out and learn ways to improve your casting distance and meet the 2-time National Long Distance Casting Champion; Mr. Will Nash. A nice guy who is always willing to help with the techniques.

As for you MR. SIT_IN_Bull; Your friends miss seeing you Exclamation

You had better bring those lead pullers to get the sinkers out of the soil! I think Skipper may have a few of those around.
