How do you guys like that polyethylene material as far as using it for decking? I know some of you guys with shark racks have it on yalls platform.
Just trying to decide what to use for mine based on users experience with it. My concern is that it will be slippery when wet.
Thanks,
Joe |

Sea Deck would have to be laid on top of something. We use Star Board, the HPDE you were asking about, a lot. It holds up MUCH longer and looks better than just plywood. Of course we just added a new option to our racks. It's not cheap by any means but it looks pretty damn cool.

So does that Star Board get slippery when wet? Yea that fiberglass deck looks cool for sure. Do you sell that stuff or just order it for projects? |

Yeah I know.... Just throwing the sea dek out there. And thanks for the rod holders, they came out great! _________________ "I never had an Easter, but I've always had a bunch of speakers" - Beardo |

Hey no problem, thanks for the deal on the rod!
The starboard we typically use is textured so it's not terribly slippery when wet and we typically try and keep some in stock. The fiberglass is something we have to have custom made by Kevin Shaw at Fibertex. _________________ Blue Streak Fabrication - Manager / Fabricator

Thanks! Perks of the job, lol. I actually have to finish it this weekend. The only thing left to do is mount and wire all the LEDs, bend up the sissy bar, and mount the bimini top!!! _________________ Blue Streak Fabrication - Manager / Fabricator

I went with Sanalite HDPE as the material for the deck and laid some pieces of anti-skid tape so that I will not slip.
See yall on the beach this weekend! |
