Never tried this before but wondered if anybody might want to trade for some hog hunting. Not really looking for anything in particular but could be interested in the following....

Offshore fishing trip. ( My hunting for your fishing)

High quality offshore reels or equipment. ( need some better stuff for a tuna trip later this year)

A running riding lawnmower. Doesn't need to be fancy just to mow our camp area.

Open to other suggestions

Property is in Victoria county. To be clear I am not an outfitter and this is my personal lease. Bow, rifle, trapping, daytime, nightime, pretty much how ever you want to do it (except with dogs)! Could take a couple of folks at a time or would be very interested in a father/child combo or husband and wife. Be a great opportunity for a first kill, no pressure and lots of animals. For the right deal we might be able to do a deer hog hunt once the season opens.

We have done some paid hunts in the past to pay for protien but i wanted to try something different this year. Let me know if your interested.

Thanks for looking and have a great season!!!!

I don't have anything to trade except cash. We've been without a hunting lease for a few years so the kids have gotten restless and I wouldn't mind taking them out somewhere for some hog blasting if you decide to just do it for $. I put them in for a Youth hog hunt with TPWD last year and they did great, the 9 year old blasted a nice sow and when I went to go pickup Momma and the 13 year old he had 6 more good medium sized hogs on the ground and they were both gutting the last two. Shocked I kept hearing the shooting and assumed it was off the property somewhere, apparently he had 3 hogs on the ground before they even walked to the blind. I quartered hogs all night long and we didn't even hunt the next morning. Laughing

edit: I have 3 boys and of course myself, so cold hard labor is always available if you need stuff done on the ranch. Feeder pens, fences, etc. Smile

No Kurt, but I'll bring you a bottle of Crown or a case of beer and let the kids cut mesquite while we watch! Laughing

I am indeed on TBH under the same name, but like you I don't frequent the site all that much.

Before going back to skoool and becoming a gubmint scientist at Padre Island National Seashore, I was an ASE/GM Master Technician and before that a farm/ ranch kid. What I have available to trade is labor with a wide ranging skill set. My wife and I adopted three kids a few years ago. The oldest boy is now 8 and my daughter is 7. Not ready to start shooting but getting old enough to start to tag along. I have been paying to hunt a weekend each year at Aransas Wildlife Refuge but that isn't a good set up to have a kid along.

What's wrong with dogs Razz Crying or Very sad lol

I understand most reasoning LOL.

If you decide to do a few cull doe hunts for corn/protein costs let me know. We recently had our place sold out for under us and my kids love going. Fixing to get them a 22 cricket and let them start shooting it.
