I went by BHP this evening to check out the lights. Same story, right side out. I know for a fact some of those lights have been out almost three months now.

I repeat what was posted on another thread:

"Your best option at this point is to email parks director - a Mr. Scott Cross at scott.cross@co.nueces.tx.us "

Thank you Tyler for clarifying commissioner concern. Mr. McCombs email is: joe.mccomb@co.nueces.tx.us

Remember to be courteous but stern with your concerns.

Some things never change........
With all of the $$$$$$$ spent on upgrades and a "new and improved" BHP, these types of problems are ridiculous. It all comes down to those in charge actually giving a rat's a$$ about keeping the pier in good order instead of simply drawing a paycheck. In all the decades that I've fished there, that has never been the case! Evil or Very Mad

Don't get me wrong either, things break, wear out, need replaced and such. When that happens they need to be tended to, ASAP, not "some nebulous time in the future". Kind of crazy that the Spanish word for that quoted meaning which starts with m comes out as "ma" after hitting submit! Rolling Eyes

One fisherman told me some county guy was out on the pier several weeks ago, and in essence, said the very things you just did.

They had other plans and lights were not a big deal to them.

If true, let's see what happens when their annual income of $160,000 to $220,000 ceases to exist because no one will be out there.
