Unfishable and not great for swimming I would guess with rough and dirty water past the fourth bar. Fresh sargassum is coming in and the old stuff is thicker than it looks.

How far down were you? Is it that bad further south?

With the surf conditions the way they are and the brown tide in the laguna I guess I'll have to go to New Mexico to find clean, fishable water.

That was on the vehicle free beach at the Malaquite Visitor's Center.
I would guess it is pretty bad further south with driving though there might be some break in the weeds 40 or 50 miles down. It would not be worth it to me to fight the conditions and risk getting stuck but then again I just might be getting old! Very Happy
