| I had my 35 quart Pelican cooler stolen a few months ago at the Chilis at five points. And my cousin had his 75 quart Yeti stolen from there last week. Im just wondering if any one else has had this happen to them in that area? I hate thieves!!! |

Get military on em !!! I keep a large supply of Concertina wire at my ranch and when I need it, I use it. Works great in the bed of ur truck to add another level of security. If the locks and cables are not hardened TO A HARDNESS greater than the jaws of a bolt / lock cutter it can be cut. Makes sence huh? What makes it hard is when the cable or steel plate is wider than the jaws can open. Most of the time thieves won't take the time to mess with cables and such. However lately we have seen different. The thieves are coming up with some very large cutters. Buy the thickest stuff you can get. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

If they have cutters that can cut the cable then it will take all of 5 seconds to cut it and run. _________________

| Yeti was secured with a Yeti brand metal bracket and Yeti cable. Pelican was secured with the same style cable (not Yeti brand) around the solid handle. My cable was gone with the cooler, My cousin's cable was left in the truck, cut in half. |

if its visible, it aint safe...
would you leave a tool box in the back?
even chained? given the constant threat of theft, especially near/on the coast, don't leave any targets...
yep, I know, its inconvienent to unload... but what other options are there...with the popularity of high-end coolers... the scum goes to Harbor Freight and buys a cheap set of bolt cutters and cruise parking lots all over town. _________________ the creepy uncle that scares the kids.... |
