Anyone know who does that and how much it might cost? Marble is pretty fragile so I hate to just rough house it on to a truck. The slab is 53" by 53" and about an inch or more thick.
Thanks! |

Tie it or strap it to a pallet. You might wrap it with light blanket first. |

I would use a local moving company such as half price movers they have always done a good job for me or you could call a granite dealer. I would move it myself if I had to and do just as the others say lots of cushion. However most companies haul vertical kinda like glass. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Tyler you probably have 3 c.m. or 1 1/4 " rock. What ever you do do not haul it flat. It has to be kept vertical. Go by Astons on crosstown and ask Andy Lynch if you could borrrow a small wooden A Frame. Then just tie it up tight to the frame. Also when carring it, keep it vertical. It weighs about 12 LBS. a square foot. |

We had a marble coffee table and dining room table back in KC. Every time it arrived, it came in a crate standing on its edge. It is not an easy move.
Build a crate with feet long enough to prevent tipping over. From the end it should look like an upside down T.

1/2 price says looking at 150 for the crate and another 180 to move it from the island to the south side. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |
