| About a month ago I purchased a H2o Express Mettle for a little over 50.00 and I've dunked it (accidentally) and it has received some rough treatment and it is still working great. I bought it as a extra reel for a just in case type scenario, and it is easily becoming my go to. good reel to start with for the money |

I picked up one on sale and prefer it to my curado. The brakes are better (h2o casts farther with 3 on vs the curado feeling "choked" with two and uncontrollable with 0), even after a thorough curado clean the h2o is still smoother and has sweet a smooth drag reminiscent of a high dollar reel. All that said, I'm scared to get it near saltwater for fear all those great things will disappear quickly. Glad to hear a testament to its durability.

Casting is very good. I usually stick to spinning reels with light lures, but the h20 is able to get them out there. My only complaint is minor, and it might be the braid I'm using causing my first few cast fall short and a little rough. After a few cast it is smooth and flying. |

Love my mettle with #20 PP Braid. Holds up very well, caught some big trout and even a bull red. It's still going strong... _________________ JJ |

Its awesome. They work great and for the price why buy a 150 dollar reel when u can buy these and go take them back every few months and get a replacement. At christmas, they are on sale for 25 dollars. Its a no brainer. U can put boca bearings in them if u like but I think they are good just the way they are _________________ just sayin |

Is it just me, or does everyone go thru a phase of bait-cast then spinning, back and forth? Maybe its a wind/seasonal thing. _________________
