My brother came down for a quick visit so a fishing trip was bound to happen. Rolled onto the Island around 8pm and saw that the piers were packed. Cos-way looked like everyone was touching elbows. Sea lice was no where to be found but we were able to grab a couple of live crab. The crowd at Clem's was pretty sparse so we set up camp at the left of the pier. Here's an extra bit of info, the guy behind the counter at Clem's was very helpful and a pleasure to chat with in between runs.

When we arrived the word was that only a handful of big uglies had been caught. Within the first 5 minutes of getting the lines wet my bro hooked into a nice 40 inch drum. A good one but not enough to top the leader board for the tourney. A couple of minutes later I hooked into a nice 43 inch big boy. Big enough to take the lead in the tourney but unfortunately I did not enter. The rest of the night proved consistent on cracked crab. My 8 year nephew was able to land his first drum. A solid 39 incher. His dad sure was proud. We hit the pier again on Saturday night and were able to land a pair of uglies. Slower than the day before but a good time none the less. Here's a pair of pics my nephew was able to snap.

Nice catches! I have yet to get into the ugly action this year. Might have to try soon before they're gone!
