| Hit the beach south of Bob Hall for some surf fishing around 0930. Fished for a couple of hours. Water still chocolate milk, weed got worse as the morning progressed. Loooooooooow tide. Caught one whiting. Hooked into something "big", ripped line from the reel and I thought I was about to get spooled. Finally landed the "beast", turned out to be a foul hooked cow nose ray. I was surprised that it was actually ripping off line like that but I guess it wasn't too happy. Wife didn't catch anything but had a good time beach combing, some starfish, shells. Brought some garbage home for my good deed of the day, wish more folks would do the same. |

Thanks for the report! Those cownose can be fun! _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |
