What a nice day to treat a couple of our fellow Texans serving our country to some good fishing and great hook ups. Here's Levi with a nice red . It was over size so back it went. I also had 1 oversize which went back in. In all we boated 8 reds, kept 6 and 9 trout fishing in 2 ft of water at the lower end of Nighthawk. The best red went a perfect 27 7/8 inches caught by James. We left at 10:35 as we figured we had enough fish and my Yamaha wasn't turning the rpms it should be. Amazing what happens when a plug wire come off. We just snap it back on and she's ready for another trip Hitting on all 4 pistons now.
The fish lockjaw rumor has been squashed. However the barometer is still dropping and down to 29.94. Pumpkin seed bullminnow was working very and I think James was tossing a morning glory when his big red hit and bit it in half and then came back to take the rest of it along with the hook. Great day guys I had a most wonderful time. I don't think I have any more room for fish until we fry some off.
Here's James with his awesome 27 7/8 ths red. We did our best to squeeze him to 28 but it wasn't happening. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED.

Nice Stan! I was suppose to hit it this morning but my back kept me off the water. My buddy found the trout as well 3-4' over grass. Funny what a south wind and prefront can do to the bite. _________________

Man it seems like this last week everyone around me has had back problems. Thankfully I just have a rotten neck. If my back were to join my neck I would be in some big trubba bubba. 800 mlg Ibuprophen works for me. Get them backs straight everyone I know it sucks. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Funny you say that because the reds had only sand eels in their bellies. I forgot to mention that . _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |
