I couldn't stand the cold weather anymore. So I pulled out my LDX rod that needed a guide replaced. Much to my wife's displeasure, I went ahead and used clamps to hold the drying motor in place. I took the tray motor from an old microwave turntable and screwed a crutch tip onto it to hold the rod in place. The supports, I made back when I had a TIG welder, but you can make some out of wood. Anyway, I clamped the pieces on the kitchen counter, snapped in the rod that needed the new guide and I plugged it in. It should be ready to remove from the fixture in a couple of hours, but won't be ready to use until tomorrow.

lmgreeri, the reason I used a microwave motor is because it is AC. All I need to do is plug it into the wall and voila. What's funny is that sometimes it will rotate CW and sometimes CCW, just like the microwave turntable! LOL _________________ HighTide
