We'll everyone I have to admit I have fallen in love with Corpus Christi and padre island. Originally from Georgia and the Carolina areas I grew up hunting deer, hogs, and eastern turkeys, once my contract with the military was up we moved here to be closer to my wife's family. I recently got serious with waterfowl hunting which is plentiful down here and helps me get my hunting fix in as we'll. However, there is still something missing, I really want to get back in the woods "we'll brush down here" after some thunder chickens! If anyone has a lease or knows of a lease where I could come hunt some south Texas turkey's please let me know! I am willing to pay a small amount due to finance's or put in some serious elbow grease if someone needs help with anything or I could even put you on some water fowl this up coming season " we have the boats, over 20dz decoys, extra waders, and guns if you need them. Anyways, let me know if you have any info! Thank you in advance!!

Tyler

I don't have a lease this year, but several years back we hunted a place out West just past Ozona that was covered up with them. All my kids and my wife got their first Gobblers that year and they even called them in themselves. We would have welcomed any guests to shoot more as well because those things were like protein pellet vacuum cleaners, they'd hit a protein feeder and empty it within days. Lots of these places out there, just hope to get lucky. I've hunted public land for turkey before and it was pretty pathetic, unless you're on a drawn hunt I wouldn't bother with that.

Yeah I kinda figured that about public land hunting :/ Thats the only thing I would change about this place, back home in Georgia we hunted all our turkeys on public land and had loads of success. If one 13,000 acre tract didn't have any birds that wanted to work, you would simply move to the 10,000 acre one 20 minutes down the road.
