Don't forget that the rangers are NOT getting paid during the shutdown.
Also, we should be happy that they haven't shut the camera off. None of this shutdown is the rangers' fault. |

I could be wrong here, but I think that the essential personnel are getting paid to work. This should include the rangers. The ones who are not getting paid are the non-essentials who are not working. The stupidest thing about this entire situation is that those non-essentials will end up getting paid for the time that they did not work. Basically it turns out to be extra paid vacation time for them.
I know that these people need to feed their families so I cant bitch too much but why should the govt. shut something down and then pay them anyway. Keep it open and let them work for their checks or give them the option to work and if they choose not to, they don't get paid.
If I am wrong and the rangers are not getting paid it is like justletmein said...they will get paid later. |

| yes. but why pay any one if your gona shut it down. typical government. we payed to have the pass all year. people pay daily to enter the park. so who is losing out on this. and as far as that goes. leave the park open with gate guards. people pay to enter will at the least pay the guards wages. return on investment. |

I'm not exactly a fan of the rangers. However, they are currently working for an I.O.U. Any of y'all ever paid your gas, electricity, mortgage, food, taxes, insurance, medical necessities, or bait for fishing with an I.O.U? Maybe we should ease up a bit? Not like they ordered the park closed. _________________ Stinger-A |

| Well, one of the rangers has cleaned the lens, so the picture is perfect now....and they are still working for an IOU...... So we owe them a big "thank you." |
