Does anyone know what the restrictions and/or code is for kayaking at knight. I fish at knight in my kayak quite often and just wanted to know the technicalities or requirements “legally speaking” for a kayaker fishing at knight. Thanks for any knowledge you have to share.

If you are going to be fishing with knights, be sure to wear a PFD cause all that armor sure is heavy Shocked

You need an all around white light on your yak, also a PFD, whistle or horn, That is generally all that I have with me when I fish at night. If I have forgotten something then some one will post up and correct me I am sure.

You forgot one little detail , have the knights leave the horses on shore as not to spook the fishies ...

"All vessels including motorboats, canoes, kayaks, punts, rowboats, rubber rafts, or other vessels when not at dock must have and exhibit at least one bright light, lantern or flashlight visible all around the horizon from sunset to sunrise in all weather and during restricted visibility."

Might be nice to joust in a kayak Laughing

Getting back to the night yakking. Several years ago I bought a strobe and was told that was illegal as it is for emergency only. You can buy a scotty unit that comes with a light and fits in a scotty rod holder. I am not sure who carries them around here but my buddy Snookdude at Fishing Tackle Unlimited in Katy can hook you up.

After dark a steady ullumininated 360degree knight light is required along with your whistle & PFD.
I got a 2 cell battery powerd one at Wally World & attached it to a PVC pipe about 3ft long & stuck the pipe n one of my rod holders.[/url]
