Has anybody put in at the little ramp there and fished St. charles bay? Any problems with leaving vehicle there?

I have never launched there, but every time I drive past the area there seems to be vehicles and trailers there. I know a lot of kayak fisherpeople like to launch there. You might try texaskayakfisherman or maybe a couple that visit this site would know. Good luck and look out for alligators! Shocked Very Happy

Been there with in a kayak haven't had much luck fishing but that's just me. Definitely gators there got pretty close to one. Just dont approach them or any possible nesting area and they won't mess with you.

No problems with vehicles for last several years. No nesting alligators at this time of year and they usually are out and about early and late. If you do not have any luck out in the bay(over to the left by the old windmill or over on the opposite shoreline closer to the creek launch) try paddling under the 35 bridge up into the creek itself. You will come to some small dips and holes where the reds sometimes hide out. You can fish all the way up to the old fence line where the barb wire crosses the creek.
Good luck!
