because I have a Mercury, I use Quicksilver Performance DFI. But it definitely depends on your outboard, consult a manual or do an online search.

You will be surprized at how many oils are made by the same company and just have a different lable on them like batteries. I use Penzoil plus XLF. The main rule, when you start with an oil stay with that oil on the engine don't go swapping around unless it's an emergency.

I use Penszoil premium plus. It is pretty much the same thing as the xlf . The premium is a synthetic blend. I ran it in my Tohatsu for 13 years never a problem. Now i'm running it in my Yamaha. The Yamalube and the Penszoil are made by the same manufacturer. They are the same color. A premium oil is a premium oil. 13 bucks a gallon at Sam's club. And it won't void your warranty.

I use Walmart quicksilver premium. Just in case I forget to check my oil tank and find out I need oil at 5a.m. Walmart is always open.

Citgo from Academy. It's exactly the same stuff we buy in 55 gallon drums at work.

Yamalube in bulk. Bring your own jug, its cheaper. Ronnies has it.
