Fished the river below the spill way this morning and had a good assortment of fish. Several nice reds to about 27", quite a few trout, several flounder and even some of these river perch. Does anyone know if these perch are good to eat?

Why would you keep something not knowing the species or regs?
most everyone has a way to access the internet if you really wanted to be sure before killing it

As I said, OFT II is joking. He knows his fish and the regs though I hear where you are coming from. I found a snook that size that had been cut in half and used for bait on Bob Hall Pier.

I think that's one of them Nueces River Striped Bass. Sometimes they swim all the way up to the Rocksprings area.  |
