Hey everyone. My name's Mike! I've been to the site a few times in the past, but once I discovered the wealth of info on the message boards and how my own experiences can contribute, I signed up!

I'm from San Antonio, but I try to fish the coast when I can. I'm actually headed out to PINS this evening for a weekend fishing getaway with the wife.

I fished PINS and Fish Pass last month, and picked up a couple of rat reds and one nice 23" spec. Enjoy the pics, and I look forward to being a part of this fine community.

I to welcome you to Corpusfishing.com. While you enjoy the beach this weekend, I will be wade fishing the Laguna Madre along South Shore and the back side of Mustang Island all weekend. Hope you have some luck and be careful driving the beach. Lots of seaweed buried under the sand right now, and that can cause a vehicle to get stuck pretty easy.

Thank you all for the welcomes and the warnings! Glad to be here.

She may have mentioned it, Tyler, but I am an alumni of the same group of exchange students as your daughter. You run a cool site!

Well, my wife and I set up just south of the 17 mile marker on Friday night, the 24th, and stayed until Sunday morning. Weed wasn't bad, but at high tide lots of old stuff was back in the water. Surf was rough and brown. We caught whiting and hardheads sporadically.

So fishing wasn't too good, but I only fished off and on. We were really down there for our anniversary and also my birthday. We had an awesome time alone on the beach under a beautiful, bright full moon. Unforgettable, even with an empty ice chest...
