Fished Mustang on the beach and it was the attack of the hardheads. Lots and lots of them. The kids had a blast catching them. Two at a time at that. Nothing else. No finger or hand pokes today Very Happy

There is a limit of reds under there and another icechest with the rest of a limit of drum and 2 more trout..the one in the pic is 24"

still skinny water tops early for trout, terror eyez for the reds then i found the drum so fishbites rest of the time...
i had to beach the yak because two weekend boaters beached themselves trying to get to me and get in on the action, didnt want to have others get the same idea and try it so no KW points from point worthy fish but oh well ....

Short version, very slow...

Longer version... We fished PINS and got beat to death by the surf and hardheads. We fished Bird Island Basin for a little while and caught zip. Went to Packery Jetties and fished the north jetty with nothing to show and then headed back and fished Packery Channel on our way out of Corpus with a lady fish and some ugly fish that I had never seen before.

Of course, A/T catches a cooler full of fish! Very, very nice!

yep...it is at the bridge. The west side close to the bridge had decent water and I counted 23 boats within a 1/4 mile of where I was fishing.

Yard work for me, cleaned the shop up, put tools and welding equipment away. Getting ready for a 5 day weekend starting Wednesday after work. Fried up some yellow catfish, trout, pompano, and some big ol shrimp last night for Barry Panza a friend who is visiting from PA. I plan on doing lots of fishing in a few days from now.

Well, I was out cruising trying to put the break in hours on my new motor. The water was brown from marker 37 all the way to twin palms... Adios

You can have my job. I do have some good news. On friday the water in the cut and rocky slough was nice. I was really surprised at how far the BT moved north since two weeks ago. I am not sure exactly what you folks call the "backyard" but unless it is north of the bridge it is in your yard. Things are gonna be tough this summer. and Mike when times get tough in an industry the really good ones not only survive but thrive. Weeds out the rift raft. You will be fine and one day I will be your deck hand.

It's frustration more than anything, getting old and tired I guess, maybe well get ourselves a real good rain sometime this summer and straighten things out some. Maybe?

Port Mansfield was very slow as well. Wind had every thing stirred up all the way down to Arroy City. That was as far south as we ventured. A few dink trout was it. Nothing out East Cut as well. There was a tournament going on that we saw a few boats go in with fish so some got lucky.
