Could someone who knows duck hunting on the coast PM me so I could ask a couple very general questions about access by foot and/or kayak? It's a couple very public areas but just wondering if its legal to access for duck hunting. I understand where you can hunt and all just the transition between land and water with your gear and gun.

Can't guarantee if I can help with the questions, but shoot them to me and I'll see.

...doesn't sound like a tough question. Why not ask it on the open forum?

There have been a lot of questions about land access asked here and there...it is a major topic well worth exploring.

I'm thinking of painting my kayak camo to hunt out of it. What do y'all think?

I think if you hunt onto four kayak you will limit your ability to swing on passing birds. It is tuff to hunt out of a boat on calm days. The waves caused by the rocking boat will spook decoy shy birds late in the year.

It is easier, safer and just better to hunt from a blind. Either a platform or a quickie built on he bank from brush. The key is being where the birds want to be. You won't be very successful getting them to come to where you are. Stay mobile, light and flexible in your planning.
