After Saturday's work at the office, big day of Laguna Little Miss Kickball, then bagging the equivalent of 40 bags of oak leaves yesterday, I plan to spend a relaxed Sunday at my local house of worship, then home for fish tacos, sports on TV and a cervesa or two.

Fish tacos after Easter Egg hunt in the neighborhood park at 4pm with the grandson. Don't know how he's going to hunt since he just started walking this week. Smile

Needed to meet up with Gary of Buddhahead Custom Rods to build a couple rods, and as he was down for the casting event in Kingsville I met him there. Just got back from watching some serious long distance casting. Strange place to see the long rods in action. People from New York, and one yesterday I believe from England. Pretty empressive to watch...need to learn that technique.

Sat I removed the carb from the leaf blower and replaced the fuel lines to get it running. Then cleaned out the gutters. Worked on picking up them darn slippery oak leaves until it was time to start the grill.

Today will be the continuation of oak leaf land management and back pain. Our backyard drops into hill country scrub and I disperse the leaves as mulch to control the ragweed and if anything is back there I'll hear leaf crunching.

It gets me in shape for marathon wade sessions. Laughing

got up this morning heard the wind bowing, made coffee, decided to make homemde flour tortillas, bacon, and over easy eggs. Then unload kayak from the truck, clean rods, clean truck. The wife and I went saturday to the backside of mustang island. In the water at 11:00 wind was light still cloudy, caught four keeper trout 15-18 inch range then about 2:00 the north west wind picked up big time. We stayed till bout 4:30 winds died down. Filet trout today. have good day everyone!!!!

That's what I came to realize yesterday after 40 bags. You don't get rid of the oak leafs. You can only attempt to manage them. Confused

Yes it will help to get to the pompano when they are "downtown" in the third gut. Smile That was Roger Mortimore from the U.K. I have watched Roger toss a 150 gram sinker 600 feet from his knees using a broom stick for a rod.
