Had a buddy ask me if I wanted to go down and fish this weekend?? Ha! Told him "no way" and he thinks I'm crazy to not go during spring break.. Can't wait until he gets back and he calls complaining about all the drunks and crap he had to put up with this weekend!! I feel your pain these next 2 weeks. This is the only time I won't go to the beach!! After living in and around Pensacola and Daytona Florida I avoid spring break like the plague!!

I don't know. I'm still young at heart especially when it comes to bikinis. Spring breakers aren't everywhere and they all don't do bad things. However the traffic sucks especially for those who live on the island. I wish I was back in college. Hope your friend catches a bunch of fish.

Hey, I know this will give my age away--lol, I;m still young at heart, kinda like ole stan--
but do some of you remember back in the 60's on the Island--man, run what ya brung--We use to bring our dirt bikes down from Austin--and climb the dunes, they had all kind of shacks for food, drink,T shirts--bikinis everywhere--BEER
I remember people with parachutes, catching the wind down by the surf--and flying over the dunes--NO turtle police back then!!!
Sorry---just reminiscing a little--your fault stan--

It has actually been a slow weekend but with flood weather in the future I am sure we will see more clouds. There have been less people fishing this weekend than recent weekends.

I don't mind the bikinis either!! Smile I just hate the drunks. I guess at 60 I'm just a little more laid back and less tolerant than I use to be.. Been locked up to many times and too many fights when I was younger.. I quit drinking 23 yrs ago because I was a jackass when I drank... Guess I just avoid the parting as much as possible.. Don't have a problem with what others do, just for me I choose to stay away.. Besides, I gotta get my garden in, chickens taken care of, and yard ready for spring.. I'll be down and ready for the good fishing after all this is over.. Very Happy

I too stay away from partying. When I drink I don't have more than 2 drinks, but rarely do I ever go over that but when I do I just slowly work on a drink for about an hour. My goal is to not be above .04% BAL and if I'm going to be driving, I stop drinking about an hour or two before I'm about to leave. I can buy a 6 pack of beer and end up having around half of it going stale in the fridge, lol. I'm also known to have a 1.75L bottle of Jack lasting me a few months or more.

I'll let you in on a little secret ..... If you hit places like Packery real early, the drunken college kids are still in bed sleeping it off and the traffic is normal. By the time you get ready to leave, some bikinis have shown up, and it is easy to exit. Very Happy
