He died peacefully this morning up in Minnesota with his family.
Rabbit is now fishing way beyond the breakers. We've lost a good person and a good fisherman who was always willing to help others.

Just to pass along I got the word a little while ago from Paul's daughter who wrote:

Hello.. I am Rabbit's daughter and I have sad news. My father passed away early this morning. He cherished so many of the people on this forum and said to me personally that you all were the very best friends he has ever had. God bless all of you and thank you for being there for him on his journey through life.

Rest in peace Paul.....Thanks for posting as I was in meeting and could not. Paul always felt honored to be invited to my fish frys . I always told him he didn't need to feel that way as he was a friend and just good folk.
So I think I will fry up some fish Saturday evening in the shop in his honor.

I met Paul at my first IMS fish fry and really enjoyed talking to him at others. A gentleman for sure. Rest in peace, RAbbit.

He was one of the few I wish I gone fishing with. I had a lot of respect for him. May his fishing be awesome on the other side.
