I just returned from the "Baffin Bash" that was fished out of Marker 37 under the JFK Causeway. Here are the two day results. Ist place day one: Team Waterloo anglers Rocky and Chad Peterek with a total weight of 17.50. They also had the heaviest trout the first day at 8.29 lbs. Well the leaders changed hand as the 2nd day of fishing ended. The 2nd place team, the first day of Luedke and Wessell was the "BIG WINNER!!!" They ended up with a two day total of 30.17 lbs. what a whale of a catch! As they were taking off racing to the south this morning I yelled, "You,re In Second Place, GO GIGGEM!! One of the anglers raised his arm in "VICTORY" before they had even made one cast for the day. In second place after day two was the team of "HAYNE". They had a two day total of 29.66. In third place after both days of fishing was "TEAM WATERLOO" the first day leaders. They had a two day total of 29.43, unbelievable close between the first three places. The total difference between 1st and 3rd place was only 0.74 lbs. Unbelievable catches under the conditions that everyone fished in both days. This just proves, that the trout fishery in this area is alive and well. I almost forgot, the 2nd day large trout went to the team of Alaniz and Valdez. Their huge trout weighed in at 8.25 lbs. Unbelievable the two largest trout caught, on different days was only separated by a weight of 0.04 lbs.

The first day leaders of Rocky and Chad Peterek with team "WATERLOO." I caught up with theses guys at the Exxon station this morning and we both were running late. I cannot explain how this timing happened, but it did! |

| Correction. Team Haynie in 2nd on day one. Finished 2nd overall with two fish on day two. Only .62 out of winning. That is me in the last three pics. Thanks for the post and pics. It was good meeting you. Incredible field to go up against. Congrats to everyone. It was a grind! Big fish were amazing. The event was put together very well. Again congrats to everyone who placed and those who had big fish. |

| Fantastic post. There are some very good fishermen around. And they certainly got on some quality fish. |

| Was this a live fish weigh-in? Many of those fish "appear" that they are dead. At least that is how it looks. |

My good friend, Cliff Webb. I was so happy to see Cliff fishing in one of these again. I heard one of the tournament fishermen comment, " He's the one that started this all." I am assuming he was referring to Cliff and Jaw Watkins winning the first Tom Nix Baffin Bay Bash. |
