After a whirlwind tour of getting my Mom on a plane to Maine, I went to the beach to decompress. Here are the current conditions:

BHP South and Access Road 3 - Driving on the water side was a 9 of 10. Surf was running 2 rows at knee to waist high, very good water color. Did not see a single fisherman. Looked like a pomp window, but without any evidence ... ???

Beachcombing was poor. The piles of water hyacinth have moved 3/4 up to the dunes with high tides. Man-o-war have gone down from last weekend, but some fresh sargassum was noted at around noon. Only thing of note was Lotus seed pods, some bamboo, and black mangrove seeds. Not much else out there. Found 1 "Jesus-Bean" and a Texas State quarter.

I would have laughed so hard if he got stung by a manowar and then called EMS while calling him a dumbass for doing it this time of year. I take it just need a few more weeks and the water temp will be very nice for shark fishing.

Thanks nice beach report. Maybe the guy can just handle cold water. Navy seals live in it. I hate cold water.

It would have been funny if a pelican pooped on his head while a tiger shark grabbed his dog while it was doing the hokey pokey.

I fished PINS all day today in shorts. Water wasn't too bad and as far as man-o-war, keep eyes open.
