You need a out going tide driven by a cold wind to get the big ugly girls moving.

Baits well fresh mantis shrimp, fresh dead shrimp, crab and Crab FishBites have all worked. i have used a 4/0 gamatgatsu circle ona fish finder rig. It's getting a little late so hurry or they will be gone.

Thanks for the tip on the spot and the gear for the Big Uglies.
I like fishing Indian Point Pier. I've caught smaller black drum there casting toward the rocks. At night I can usually put the kids on sand trout.
