What's the best beer that you've ever had?
A few answers on my part. Never leaky liked beer until going to "Lums" after a summer softball game. Had a Micabold in a frosted mug. I was hooked on beer. Been through many brands through the years. Seems like either they change or my taste buds do. My daily beer is Keystone, but have been enjoying a black beer of late Xingu, from Brazil, very smooth.
Interested in replies, probably tempt me to try a few other brands.

One of my favorites is Terrible by Unibroue.

But the hop lover in me gives thumbs up to Dogfish Heads 90 Minute IPA.

I found a six pack of Shiner beer in the hill country that had 6 different flavors of their's. Of course the bock and blonde were there, but there was also, black and a few others I dont remember the name of but I was very impressed with all of them. I wish I could remember the name but the one I liked best had green writing in the label.

Hey texican, Unibroue is a helluva brewery. They make a 17th anniversary dark ale that you will like if you like Terrible. I brought a 750ml of it that I am waiting to break open and share for a special occasion, maybe one of IMS fish fries if he ever has one on a date I can attend. Its my hands down favorite, but if I'm having a few on a hot day, its hard to beat a cold, balanced IPA. I'll have to try to the 90 min, haven't done that one yet.

Landshark tall boys on the beach. Oranjeboom (since 1671). Anything made by St. Arnold's in houston with Lawnmower being the best is summer. Santa Fe - State Pen Porter and Nut Brown Ale. A few of the Pike Brewery beers are good.
Ummmmm beer...

If you picked up that sixer over the summer, then the green labeled beer was probably their prickly pear offering.
Was it slightly sweet with hints of fruit?

I haven't tried that one! I'll have to keep any eye out for it.

Are you familiar with Ranger Creek Brewstillery out of San Antonio?
They make a very good Belgian Style Dark Strong Ale called La Bestia Aimable. They tout it as the beer for wine drinkers.

They also make bourbon. Their small caliber series ".36" aged in 5 gallon barrels for 9-10 months has been getting a lot of praise.
Their large barrel batches have been aging for nearly two years and may be ready sometime in 2013.

I've never heard of it. But their description of that ale sounds like my kind of beer . Now I have something to do besides Bass Pro SHop when I'm visiting the lady's family in San Antonio, and all they want to do is shop at La Cantera.
