1. Tons of black drum along backside of Mustang, wouldn't take a gulp tried it every way possible. Need dead shrimp or some crab, trident, spear, harpoon, blow gun, bow & arrow.....they got so close it was pathetic, like 1' away from yak, doing their same ol thing they do every winter teasing me.
2. Found steady trout bite, 5' deep sand pockets, trout were hiding in grass beds, white 3" gulp on 1/8oz jig head.
3. Reds were landed skinnier 3' or less and there was fish up on the flats (2' or less) just couldn't get a visual on them. 1/4 oz weedless spoon hit it hard and fought hard
4. Bite was on around 10, dead before that.
6. Didn't see but a few duckies on the water, but saw lots of them further north near shamrock.
Great day on the water, left with some dinner, good times in South Texas |

Sounds like fun! Thanks for the detailed report with locations and bait used. Should help some people out! _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |
