I don't get down to Corpus very often, but my boys and I have serious itch to do some fishing. Can anyone give some advice on where to go and what to use right now.
I see alot of pics from the packery. Is it good right now for flounder and trout?
Any advice is good advice. Thanks fellas!

I don't fish there but I've read that Bob hall pier is hot right now with just about anything from shark to pompano. Packery channel always seems to be a hot spot as well. I don't get out to fish much. When I do I will wade or kayak oso bay or the Laguna off of Laguna shores. Just recently started fishing the surf. Sorry I couldn't get you more info.

I am heading to bob hall tonight. I think that would be a good place to catch sime fish. The other night i saw lots of sharks caught small reds. Lots of whiting and sone FAT surf trout.

Might take a day or two to get a response, dont take it personally.
Throw some fishbites in the surf or around packery, should be able to keep them entertained nicely with whiting and dont be surprised if you run into some pompano or a red. Good luck and post a report!

Surf south of bob hall to mile 15 on pins has been very good for my group. Lots of whiting, pomps and some big bull reds. Few sharks as well. Don't like the pier cause of abusive people. Enjoy with family.

We were out at packery yesterday, didn't catch much, but had trout jumping out if the water in front of us hitting all the bait fish... I'd try fishing in the surf, second cut, with live mullet. We've been catching reds and small sharks that way. Lost a couple things in the past month that straightened the metal clips on our leaders...
Goodluck!

Well, the boys and I didn't make it down there this weekend. The wife had different plans. But if the weather is good next weekend we will definitely check out the Packery and the surf. And will definitely post some pics and a report. Thank for all the advice fellas.

electric, when I take my boys down they always have a blast in the surf on PINS. It's more than just fishing. Gotta have a 4x4 to get by the North end tourists though.
