The Corps of Engineers has released a Public Notice of a permit application by Willacy County for the development of a recreation
area on the west side of the Laguna Madre, including a 500-foot-long pier, kayak launching area, nature interpretation and bird watching sites, and bathrooms on donated land south of Port Mansfield.
