|
|
| I had scheduled a trip to PINS Oct 19 - 22. Looking at the tides and solunar tables (Of which I am a little skeptic but I only have one trip this year and want to make the most of it) it appears the best times are the end of September or the end of October. My question is, if you had your choice which of the three dates would you choose. I could squeeze late September in but since I have a lot of work due Oct 15 I would probably not relax as much as in October. That being said, if the fishing is considerably better in late September I can handle the stress. I'm not sure if it makes sense to reschedule the trip just because the tables say earlier is a better time. Do any of you notice a significant difference in the surf based on the tables? Your thoughts are much appreciated. |

| Thanks to both. I didn't realize sharkathon was that week. I think I will keep my schedule and stop over analyzing this trip. |

Yep.
Friend I plan on going with has already put in their vacation time for the first week of Oct. We'll mostly stick to the general Rockport area but may head to the gulf for a half day.
Now I may head back down on my own the third week of October just to get some more fishing in and, as I mentioned earlier, I like being far down the beach away from light pullution during periods of a new moon. If this night skies are clear, the star party is insane! _________________ "Money will buy you a fine dog, but only love can make him wag his tail." - Kinky Friedman
