Took my wife, son and nephew fishing on Thur and Sat. Fishing the KRS bout 5ft of water using croakers. Bite wasnt super fast but had a lotta bites. We missed a lot of fish but ended up with 13 on thursday and 21 on saturday. Biggest was 23. All of our better fish sat came around noon.
Was my wifes and nephews 1st time fishing with me. Great time on the water and family time

| Thanks. The trout were def there. Think with the croakers being little bigger we were probably not letting them run long enough a lot of the time. |

Nice trip. Love to see kiddos fishing. On the bigger croakers and letting them run longer, IMHO they were small trout that are better off not hooking them. The big ones don't play with big croakers like the little ones. _________________ Wish I Were in Baffin |

We didnt stay there this trip because we did the family thing in port A as well. But we usually stay at bluffs when we go fishing. We really like it there. Rooms are clean its quiet and not to expensive. The food at laguna reef is really good so we really dont leave the area while we are there.
PM if you have anymore questions I can even tell you which room has a really good AC |

| Congrats. I'm in Houston and these pics of the kidos have me thinkin about goin home and getting my 14 year old and heading to the Galveston surf. I don't think the water has cleared up for a good trout bite but the whiting are always there and I have been busy at work and slacking at my responsibilty to take him fishing enough. Ok I convinced myself, outa here. |

| I buy my croakers down there. Im not positive maybe someone who knows for sure can chime in. But I think think they will stop using croakers pretty soon. I know they start selling them in may and run through the summer but not sure when they will stop selling them. |

Billings bait has the best croakers for 7.50.Cosway has them for 10, and half are usually dead. _________________ JJ |
