the good, actually got to get out on the beach down pins to about the 25. water was crystal clear, tide pretty far out, very little weed.caught alot of whiting and a few reds just inside the third sandbar. really great day for being on the beach....
the bad.. picture of the last fish i caught saturday afternoon.

i got out of the water. lol
the ugly... i guess it was just our turn in the bucket. park rangers stopped us on the pavement. God let us go.
great fun this weekend.[/img]

That's what I use for bait! Shark seem to be hitting the whitin more than any other bait I chunk out.

Be thankful you got to get out there and the Mean Greens let you go. Last time I got stopped was cause of no seatbelt, 15 miles down the beach Rolling Eyes

I was able to finally talk my hubby into taking me and my kiddos camping and fishing on pins for the weekend. I had been begging for about a month and i could not take it any more i needed my fishing fix and to finally be cut off from cell phones, internet, tv and so on. Deal was he would go if i did most of the packing. We were 25 miles down as well from friday till sunday morning. We were in a gray mazda truck. i probaly caught 30 whiting lost count after 20 and that was all i caught, good size ones too! No complaints either whiting are good eats. My hubby only caught 1 skipjack all weekend, hehe Laughing he doesnt know i have a comptetion with him. Very Happy The best part is i helped my 5 year old catch 10 whiting he loved it. I tried to get my 8 year old to fish but he isnt into it and was missing home and his video games. Crying or Very sad

Weird thing sunday morning we got pulled over for the same reason. He said it did not look like my seatbelt was on either. He must of been looking to find people drinking and driving or whatever else. Which is fine with me! Anyways it was so nice to be away from work and relaxing doing what i love to do.

I love reading post from other ladys that love to fish as much as i do. Very Happy

Im a medic and i have responded to horrible accidents were lives would have been saved if their seat belts were on. So being pulled over cause he didnt think mine was on, yes i liked that he did that. He also looked in the back to make sure my kids were buckled up right in their car seats, which i also liked. i also did thank him and told him to have a wonderful day and dont forget to drink alot water. Im kinda a nerd! Haha seriously though who cares if your pulled over even if it feels like its for nothing. they have a job to do and if your not do anything wrong you will be on your way. What maybe 10 minutes of your life was wasted thats the only thing that will come out of it.

I think Murf has been around knows the regime that came in with Escoto. Several years ago the rangers at PINS started checking a lot more cars for seatbelts and actually stopping people to ask them how their experience was at the park in the meantime checking for open containers etc which was way over the top. We are all for safety but sometimes (not saying it was this time) authorities can go over the top crushing our rights in the name of "safety".

I am not noticing that much any more.
