|
|
Sent the wife to visit her mother and am headed for Corpus Monday morning for 5 days.
This will more than likely be the ONLY trip I get this summer.
I'm having trouble deciding which boat to bring. I will be fishing alone. All launching will be out of Marker 37.
Bring the center console for possible offshore and bay or bring the aluminum boat for the flats? Maybe hit the surf a day or two?
Either way, I'm bringing the kayak too, but the water reports have me worried about coming down with the wrong gear. I can't pack it ALL,
Any suggestions on what best to concentrate on? |

I'll be fishing this weekend and let you know how I do in the ULM. _________________ JJ |

Bring the big boat because you are going to want to run down south of Baffin to find good water. _________________

The big boat is just a little too much draft for Baffin. Intracoastal or offshore is pretty much it. The water really has me worried though.
If need be I'll pass on Corpus and PA altogether and head north. |

With this last front passing, the water around Marker 37 really cleared up. Not sure how long it will last though. Wind returning from the South East tomorrow. _________________

| If it was me I would fish Nueces Bay. No brown tide and lots of fish. Only need a small boat or kayak. |
