Anyone wade in front bird island lately? Last year at this time it was an easy limit from 5am -8am. Went several weeks back and it was no good..

Want to try live bait in the surf( very little experience)

Any opinions, would probably only fish day break to 10:00. If surf is the answer how far down should I drive, I have 4x4

Not very many night owls on this board. From what I gather the water is dirty along the entire beach and the cold water has moved in south of Big Shell on PINS. I would not spend the money on diesel to drive down PINS right now. I would try the backside of MI.

Good luck.

Haven't been to bird island, but the surf is where I'll be on Saturday. The morning forecast is looking good on swellinfo.com. Just hope theres not too much weed. You can go anywhere on the beach, Mustang Island to Port A, or south of Bob Hall. I usually go SBH, down about 5 miles. If you have 4x4 you should be good.

Well Bird Island was ugly brown stayed ten minutes. Drove to surf and it was bad so went to bay across from Mustang State park. Caught on trout. Not very productive morning

That sucks. Guess I will do yard work tomorrow.

Looks like that pic was possibly out of a red Jeep.

Thanks for the info.

Damn, that pic looks horrible.

I'll be down Mon for a week. Bringing the kayak for BTB and a small powerboat for the laguna.

I REALLY hope it improves. Confused
