More supositions. Claim stocks are there but dont have any proof,.
He said there was still 20,000 tonnes or more of "unverified" orange roughy to be added to the data, which would put the stock at greater than 40 per cent biomass. _________________ Fishing and Kayaking its a rough life but somebody has to do it. |

Interesting read CS, thanks for sharing. So they missed a ton (actually several thousand tons) of fish in their survey. But a drop from 65000 tons in 2002 to 35000 tons in 2011 is NOT increasing stock. Maybe increasing from a rock-bottom low some point in between, but its certainly not reason to celebrate.
The good news is they are maturing faster - the bad news is its still takes 12 years!!!!!!!! I'm still not eating slime-heads. In my opinion, red fish tastes better and doesn't cost $18/lb. |

I posted this almost sarcastically. (it's an industry website, so take it for what it's worth).
I'm in agreement with Luke. This is about as a "fishy" of a fish as you can eat. I've never liked them.  |
