| I guess I'll just come out and say it! My 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 was totalled on Tuesday. Had a stupid lady pull right out in front of a Honda Civic that was in front of me, they collided with each other which knocked them into me. And the real #?*! thing about it is she had no license or insurance. Will not be coming down this weekend, but will be shopping for a new truck instead. Would love to move up to a full size 4X4 truck. Spend a lot of time towing a trailer to New Mexico and a popup camper to PINS. Anyone got any suggestions on a good truck for towing/fishing. <*/)))>< |

I have an 07 Tundra 4x4 w/ the offroad package and the 5.7l engine. Great truck, very powerful, but the gas mileage sucks. _________________ E Pluribus Unum |

If towing is the primary service I recommend a Dodge 2500 4X4 with the cummins. Look for a used truck with about 100K on it. My '05 overall averages 18 mpg, towing my 22' CC, I get better than 14 mpg, bob tail down the highway over 20.
I have had it down PINS several times but it is not the perfect truck for that use.

Tuesday was a bad day for wrecks. My wife got hit by a guy darting out into traffic. He bashed in her 2011 Nissan Pathfinder. Luckily the guy that owned the truck had insurance. He also got a ticket. Deb is fine except for some bruising from the airbag. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

I believe they assemble one of the finest trucks right there in San Antonio. _________________
