I may have posted this before here or on Facebook. I was doing a little house cleaning on my desktop and came across this picture of the drum lines the guys use around here with the cut wooden dowels.

WOW...that is a lot of hardware...I understand they soak those wooden dowels in some kind of drum lovin' smell good or something???

Crab scent i believe...

ill never forget when i pointed a new commercial fisherman in the right direction...one line and he had more drum then his boat could handle it was just insane

It's called "stick fishin'". Kinda cool, we often catch oversize redfish that have a staging with hook and wooden dowel it has broken off the main trotline still in it's mouth.
